This program will discuss the rules and regulations relating to importation
of dogs into the US and provide the perspective of one lawyer who went to Turkey
to discover the who, why and how dogs were being rescued that are sent to the
US, including MN.
It will address the cultural
differences seen in countries where dogs are being
exported to the US, including China (where the meat
trade still flourishes) and Turkey (where interpretation of Muslim teachings are in
conflict).
