Hosted by the MSBA Social
Security Disability Law
Section.
This is a continuation of April’s
discussion with ALJ Virginia Kuhn. This open discussion will focus on the SSA's
disability hearing process from the perspective of a retired Administrative Law
Judge. ALJ Kuhn will lead the discussion, addressing topics including, but not
limited to, procedural hearing do's and do nots, tips for persuasive claimant
testimony, and challenges to ME and/or VE testimony. The format is open
discussion/Q&A. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. If possible,
please email your questions to Tony Manella (FTMannella@midwestdisability.com
) in advance so ALJ Kuhn can
prepare her response.
The Section Annual Meeting will follow
the CLE, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, at
which time we will present Ethel Schaen with a Social Security Disability Law Section Lifetime Achievement
Award, vote on the amendments to the 2022 Section Bylaws, and vote on
the 2023-24 Slate of Candidates. A social and celebration of Ethel’s
Lifetime Achievement Award will follow the CLE and Annual Meeting.
