The
Public Law Section is hosting their Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony and are
starting the day with a fantastic CLE program which will consist of two
presentations.

- A
busy legislative session is scheduled to wrap up at the end of May, and this
program will offer the chance to learn more about one of the most important
offices involved in the day-to-day process at the Capitol.
The Office of the Revisor of Statutes will give an overview
of the legislative process and the key role the Revisor's office plays in
working with legislators, staff, the governor's office, and state agencies to
provide confidential drafting and other services during session.
10:15am-11:15am- Many government entitites have a role in the
legislative process. As a lobbyist for more than 30 years, Gary Carlson has
represented cities' interest at the Minnesota State Capitol on topics such as
local government aid, pensions and retirement, and taxes. Gary will share
insights on what makes successful intergovernmental relations with no shortage
of interesting stories from his career.
