This CLE explores
topics relevant for lawyers and leaders in navigating social interactions and
interactions with clients that may lead to harmful financial, organizational, or
reputational consequences. What are the key signs of unsafe people? How do
people manipulate and trick us into hiring them, buying products we don’t want
or need, paying too much for a big purchase, or making decisions that no one
could possibly want? Humans are not the best decision-makers due to defects in
the machinery of cognition. This CLE is designed to uncover some of the things
we don’t know and how to stop making decisions that are not
in the best interests of ourselves or others.
