Civil bench
trials can be an excellent (and potentially less expensive) alternative to a
jury trial, but they require different planning, preparation, and management.
This panel of Hennepin County Judges will discuss and answer questions about
civil bench trial tips and strategies, including:
• How should you frame
the legal and factual issues in a bench trial?
• How is your
presentation different in a bench trial?
• What are some ideas and
options for handling exhibits and witness testimony in a bench trial?
• Should you submit proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law before or
after trial?
• What about
Zoom? Should you try your bench trial remotely?
This CLE is approved for credit through April
15, 2024.
