New Lawyers Leadership Conference | Shedding the Old Normal – A New Lawyers Guide to Succeeding and Leading in a New Normal

Event Description

Pre-registration is closed. If you would still like to attend, email Abby Ward at award@mnbars.org .

The New Lawyers Leadership Conference is going virtual this year! This virtual conference brings together fresh perspectives on the practice of law, leadership, racial justice, and the COVID world we all find ourselves in, with the goal to inspire and empower law students, attorneys, and legal professionals in the early years of practice. Join us for dynamic and engaging presentations, diverse and thought-provoking speakers, and practical and insightful tips for a well-rounded career. The conference also features networking, socializing, and engaging with a variety of leaders from the Minnesota State Bar Association, Affinity Bars, the Ramsey County Bar Association, and the Hennepin County Bar Association.

Whether you're a big law, small firm, solo, or a corporate practitioner, in either the public or private sector, this is a unique opportunity to meet, network, and engage with the Minnesota legal community.

Registration is for the entire week of programming, and participants choose what sessions they want to attend. We have reached our limit for the work from home survival kits, but we welcome additional conference registrations. You still receive a week of great programming at a great price!

The New Mindful Approach to Lawyering | 1.0 Standard CLE Credit | Code: 330943 | Lawyers typically rely on their skill in careful reasoning and persuasive analysis in solving problems. But neuroscience is demonstrating that behavior is usually determined by instincts, triggers, and emotions, with reason following along like a rider trying to control an elephant. With a combination of lecture and guided meditation, this program will help lawyers take a more mindful approach and respond more effectively to what is going on in their own minds and in those of the people around them.
