Robin Wolpert | Former MSBA President | Attorney, Sapentia Law Group

11:15 - 12:15   Marketing and Networking Like a Leader: How to Position Yourself for Growth | 1.0 Standard CLE Credit | One of the biggest mistakes lawyers make is assuming strong leadership and management are the same thing. In law firms, it is a fairly common practice to take the lawyer with the biggest, most successful practice, and ask him or her to serve in a position of leadership. Just because a lawyer can effectively manage the growth of his or her practice, does not automatically make that lawyer a leader. My guess is that most of you are decent managers…but how are your people skills?  Leadership is about garnering the trust and respect of people and giving them the positive feedback and support they need to be successful. This CLE will teach you how to truly market yourself as a leader, which starts with your management and interpersonal skills.
