Event Description
Deadline to Register: December 4,
2018
You are invited to join the Civil Litigation Section for a
discussion on federal practice followed by a happy hour.
Magistrate Judge David T. Schultz
will address several ways federal practitioners can ensure they are putting
their best foot forward when they show up for a pretrial scheduling conference,
a civil motion hearing, or a settlement conference. Topics will include
best practices for settlement discussion preparation, effective briefing
strategies, rules regarding sealed filings, and ways to make the most of your
meet and confer process. The right preparation, and awareness of important
rules, will help you advance your case and serve your client.
After the presentation, join us for drinks, hors
d'oeuvres, and holiday cheer. Registration is free for all Civil
Litigation Section members and includes one drink ticket and complimentary hors
d’oeuvres. We hope to see you there!
