Legal Tech Month | Safe and Sound - Data Security in the Cloud

Event Description

Legal Tech Month: Jumpstart Your Practice

This session is part of MSBA's Legal Tech Month, 8 sessions in all.

Law firms are rightfully concerned about the security of the cloud. But, safeguarding your data online is a lot easier than you think. At this point, it is clear that law firms can and should use the cloud for business purposes; and, most of the authority on the point indicates that they can -- so long as that usage is ‘reasonably secure’. But, what does that mean?
In this program, we’ll discuss how to build a secure cloud infrastructure for your law firm, so that you can gain flexibility, while ensuring that your clients’ data is well-protected.
Specific topics to be addressed in the presentation include:
• Encryption methodology
• Securing passwords and access
• Data backup protocols
