Commission on Judicial Selection Recommends Fourth Judicial District Candidates to Governor Walz 

[ST. PAUL, MN] – The Commission on Judicial Selection announced today it is recommending three candidates for consideration to fill the current vacancy in Minnesota’s Fourth Judicial District. This vacancy occurred upon the retirement of the Honorable Bruce A. Peterson and will be chambered at Minneapolis in Hennepin County.

Annamarie Daley: Ms. Daley currently serves as a Partner at Jones Day. Within this role she handles claims involving complex contract and fraud and other federal and state statutes, including antitrust, trade secret, intellectual property, and others. Previously, Ms. Daley was a partner at Barnes & Thornburg, LLP. Her community involvement includes serving as the immediate past Board Chair of the Minnesota Supreme Court Historical Society, the immediate past Board Chair of the Children’s Law Center of Minnesota, a mentor for law students at the University of St. Thomas Law School, and as a member of several Minnesota State Bar Associations committees and other organizations.

Rachna Sullivan: Ms. Sullivan is a shareholder at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., where she serves as the lead lawyer in commercial litigation cases. Previously, she was a partner at Rider Bennet LLP, law clerk to the Hon. James M. Rosenbaum, former Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and an Assistant District Attorney at the King’s County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Sullivan is a director of the Minnesota Chapter Infinity Project, a director of Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, and the Co-Chair and Co-Founder of the Leadership Summit on Gender Equity in the Law.  Additionally, Ms. Sullivan volunteers at various organizations, including providing food packages at the Nellie Stone Johnson Elementary School and serving meals at the Church of St. Stephens in Minneapolis.

Chris Yetka: Mr. Yetka is a commercial trial attorney at Larkin Hoffman, Ltd., focusing his practice on insurance coverage disputes.   He is a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel, and a past Chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section.  In addition to insurance cases, Mr. Yetka has handled other high stakes commercial litigation, including trust litigation, shareholder disputes, and labor and employment matters. Previously, he was a partner at both Barnes & Thornburg, LLP and Lindquist & Vennum, PLLP.  Mr. Yetka’s community involvement includes serving as a Benefactors’ Board Member of the Volunteer Lawyers Network and staffing pro bono legal clinics at both the Plymouth Christian Youth Center, and YouthLink Homeless Shelter.  He is also an active member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins, MN, and the Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar Associations.
